Traditional respirators can muffle speech, forcing workers to remove their masks just to be heard, undermining safety in the process. The SmallTalk in-mask communication device is designed to change that dynamic, delivering clear, amplified speech without compromising protection.

Designed for seamless integration with Sundström SR100, SR900 and SR200 respirators, SmallTalk is engineered to support 100% wear-time by ensuring workers can communicate effectively without removing their masks. A lightweight electret microphone sits discreetly within the respirator’s speech diaphragm, housed in the protective cap with no drilling or permanent modification required.

A compact external amplifier and Mylar-cone loudspeaker deliver natural, high-clarity voice projection, easily clipped to clothing for hands-free use. New features — including push-to-talk functionality and an integrated volume control button — are designed to give users greater control over communication in varying noise conditions. The system also offers expanded compatibility, working with various Sundström head-tops connected to SR500 and SR700 PAPR systems, enhancing its versatility across respiratory platforms.

Engineered for demanding environments, SmallTalk is resistant to dust, vibration, impact, spray and temperature fluctuations. Thin, flexible cabling reduces snag hazards, while a standard 9V battery is designed to ensure reliable, long-lasting power with easy field replacement.
