The M1 SCBA (Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus) platform for mining is engineered to reduce fatigue, speed cleaning and improve fleet uptime, across underground, shutdowns, emergency response and confined space entry. Across underground, open-cut and contractor environments, legacy SCBA fleets are becoming a constraint. Uptime is harder to maintain, hygiene is more difficult to manage and maintenance demands are increasing; just as ERT, CSE and shutdown activities put more strain on limited equipment.

Features of the M1 SCBA platform for mining include: comfort that lasts a shift — with ergonomic, S-shaped padded harness that reduces pressure points and shoulder pinch, height-adjustable backplate that shifts weight to the hips for less fatigue and better mobility, suitable for long underground wear and rapid ERT callouts — and streamlined hygiene — with machine-washable harness and backplate for faster turnaround; water and dust repellent materials to speed mechanical cleaning; and helps easy to disassemble, clean and disinfect.
