The Casella Microtherm WBGT Area Heat Stress Monitor is a compact, easy-to-use instrument that is designed to measure the heat-stress potential for personnel working in hot environments. The monitor provides an estimation of heat-stress levels by using the wet bulb globe temperature (WBGT) index and can be rented from TechRentals.
The unit features a large LCD, which shows a real-time scrolling graph for measured parameters, and calculates relative humidity (RH%) and dewpoint. It can be used for general assessments and incorporates time-weighted average measurement, with full logging and download facilities.
Areas of use for the monitor include power stations, steel works, glass factories, agricultural and marine environments, bakery workers, truck drivers and warehouse operatives.
Other features include: audible/visual WBGT alarms; indoor and outdoor WBGT; low-level-water warning; meets ISO 7243 and battery operation.
