The Tennant Green Machine 500ze all-electric street sweeper’s zero emissions and near-silent operation make it suitable for enclosed or crowded pedestrian areas.

Its features include no exhaust fumes and no CO2, with low noise and reduced dust. With an annual carbon output of a standard 2 m3 sweeper being approximately 50 tonnes, the sweeper results in saving the equivalent of the carbon output of 40 cars annually.

It is virtually silent in transit and its near-silent running means it is suitable for cleaning any time of day and near sound-sensitive environments such as schools and hospitals.

It is powered by lithium-ion batteries, with an integrated battery management system to optimise cell performance throughout the battery’s lifetime.

Its features include low running costs and the efficiency of the lithium-ion technology makes energy supply as reliable as conventional fuel. Recharging the batteries provides an 8 h operation at a fraction of diesel costs.

Its advanced diagnostics and fewer moving parts are claimed to result in lower maintenance costs. Its suction is suited to even coarse debris, disposing of litter efficiently due to its 3-stage cyclonic separation.

The Cloudmaker misting system provides improved dust control while minimising water consumption. The sweeper is claimed to use 70% less water than other traditional dust control techniques. It move at speeds of up to 25 km/h and its ergonomic design gives car-quality operator comfort.
