Protect-it Maxi structural column guards provide structural column protection against forklift or vehicle impact in areas such as warehouses and cold stores (effective to -40°C) or other facilities where column damage is a concern.
Protection is afforded by forming a secure impact-absorbing barrier around structural columns and other assets using the modular units. It is expandable to fit any desired combination of sizes and shapes to assist in improving workplace safety including square, rectangular, round, and ‘H’ and ‘I’ section columns.
The system is claimed to ensure no column damage occurs to a 100UC-15 (100 mm) column after a 2.5 t forklift impact at 2 km/h or to a 200UC-59 (200 mm) column after a 2.5 t forklift impact at 6 km/h from any direction.
Modules are available in 500 and 1000 mm heights and designed to fit any column size beginning with 150 mm and increasing in 25 mm increments to fit any shape.
