Traffic controller fatally crushed in workplace incident

WorkSafe Victoria is investigating an incident in Wahring, in which a 64-year-old man died after a truck trailer tipped onto him. It is understood that gravel was being unloaded from the fully extended tipping trailer when it tipped into a culvert and onto the traffic controller.

The death takes the workplace fatality toll to 23 for 2022, six fewer than at the same time last year.
