Scissor lifts with roller conveyors
Optimum Handling Solutions has recently completed a project using its scissor lifts with roller conveyor beds fitted to the platform.
The powered roller conveyor module is matched to infeed and outfeed conveyors on either side of the scissor lift. The infeed conveyor transfers goods onto the scissor lift; the scissor lift is then elevated to be unloaded and then lowers.
The powered conveyor then discharges the empty pallet onto the outfeed conveyor.
The same principle is available with chain conveyors, which in some circumstances can be a very economical automation option for goods handling.
The scissor lift controls can be integrated into a total control system for efficient operation, as can the powered conveyor modules.
