Expansion modules for data transfer via ethernet are now available for the multifunctional safety system, PNOZmulti, which manages both standard control functions and safety functions.

The PNOZmulti expansion modules communicate via the popular Profinet/IO and ethernet/IP or Modbus/TCP protocols, enabling cost savings and user-friendly diagnostics.

Using the expansion modules, diagnostic data and controller information can be downloaded from PNOZmulti to the control system via ethernet, minimising wiring.

A module for a separate 24 V supply can be inserted between the base unit and expansion module. Because the expansion modules have a supply voltage independent of the control system, availability of the bus connection is enhanced.
