SC22-3 safety controller

The SC22-3 safety controller is an easily configurable safety module that incorporates numerous input devices and manages multiple safety-related functions.

The controller replaces multiple dedicated safety modules to integrate E-stop buttons, interlocking switches, safety light screens, two-hand controls, safety mats, rope pulls and many other devices. It features 22 input terminals, which monitor both contact-based and PNP solid-state input devices. Each input circuit is configurable to monitor an input signal or provide 24 VDC sources when needed. The controller can also be simply configured using Banner's PC interface or the module's built-in LCD and buttons.

The controller reduces the time and complexity of interfacing multiple safety functions and devices by incorporating them into one easily configurable device. The controller's click-and-go system offers simple configuration for safeguarding functions on a computer with a USB cable, or by using the XM card and programming tool. The front panel LCD screen and bright LED indicators provide status updates for simple monitoring and troubleshooting.

In addition, the controller meets industry standards, including the safety integrity level (SIL) 3 per IEC 62061/61508 and category 4 performance level per ISO 13849-1.
