The SafeMove EPS (electronic position switch) range of robot safety products replaces traditional mechanical position switches. They are claimed to resolve problems typically experienced with mechanical cam-and-switch solutions like soiling, wear and tear, constant adjustments, bulky cables and connectors and complex installation and commissioning.
The products provide tools for monitoring robot motion like stand-still supervision, speed limitation and restrictions with respect to arbitrary geometrical zones. Combined with EPS, the system enables secure and lean manufacturing cells to be deployed.
