Reer Admiral AX-LR long-range safety light grid

The Reer Admiral AX-LR (long range - 60 m) safety light grid has been designed for the protection of workers exposed to risks arising from the use of dangerous machines, specifically for outdoor applications.

The light grid has two safe PNP static outputs and can work without any external control unit, having all the safety functions integrated inside the emitter and the receiver. It complies with the requirements of the European Standard EN 61496-1 and International Standard IEC 61496-1-2. The device integrates the start/restart interlock function as well as the external device monitoring (EDM).

Features include: easy connection and installation with M12 connectors and standard cables; integration of the main safety functions, including self-monitoring of the safety circuits and for the AX models, the external device monitoring (EDM) and the start/restart interlock functions; rugged construction and good immunity to external interference (optical, EMC, etc); master/slave models for cascade connection of two light curtains and models with floating blanking; and a wide variety of heights and resolutions.

The AX LR DB/AX LR DB WTH versions feature a dual beam system, making it useful in outdoor applications and in harsh environments for decreasing the light curtain sensitivity to small objects such as leaves, snow, etc. It is also available in an IP67 heated version with -25 to +55°C operating temperature. The  WT/WTH watertight enclosure versions and models in conformity with the ATEX Directive 94/9/CE - Dust Zone 22 - Gas Zone 2 are available on request.

Admiral light curtains may be connected to the dedicated safety interfaces series AD SR, or directly to contactors actuated and controlled by the light curtain, to MOSAIC or to suitable commercial safety modules or safety PLCs.
