Panasonic HG-C1000 series Micro Laser Distance Sensors

Monday, 20 July, 2015 | Supplied by: Control Logic Pty Ltd

Panasonic has added two measurement ranges for its HG-C1000 series Micro Laser Distance Sensors, providing options for measurement centres of 30, 50, 100, 200 and 400 mm.

These sensors are suitable for applications that require highly precise measurements in the order of 1/100 mm and have precision down to 10 µm.

The sensors incorporate an optical system with a built-in mirror. The company states this allows for a more compact sensor and higher measurement accuracy compared with equivalent displacement sensors.

The sensor not only indicates measured values in millimetres, but also produces a 0-5 V analog voltage output so that various calculations and logging can be performed when the output is taken into a PLC or control system.
