Multi-beam light curtain

The ReeR Janus M-Series safety light curtain is a multi-beam opto-electronic Type 4 safety system for the protection of persons exposed to dangerous machinery or plant.

The light curtain consists of an active element (containing the emitter and the receiver) and a passive element, consisting of pre-aligned reflectors, capable of reflecting the strip of infrared light.

Available systems include 2-beam models (covering a distance of 500 mm), 3-beam models (400 mm) and 4-beam models (300 mm).

The device is suitable for protecting automatic palletising/de-palletising and other materials handling and storage systems, packing and packaging machines, assembly lines, industrial automatic warehouses including AGV (automatic guided vehicle) transit openings and tooling/manufacturing machines.

The vertical systems can be coupled with external ground-mounted sensors to protect danger areas.

Displays for auto-diagnostics of malfunctioning or faults are included along with built-in, user-selectable manual or automatic restart and external-devices monitoring capability.

The optional escape release is intuitive to operate and enables persons to exit the danger area quickly and easily. When working in the restricted area, the bolt tongue can be locked open with up to three padlocks in the integrated lockout bar, preventing unintentional activation of the interlocking/guard locking.
