Designed for the protection of workers exposed to dangerous machines, the Admiral AX light curtain features two safe static outputs and can work without external control units, with all the safety functions integrated inside the emitter and the receiver. It complies with the requirements of the European Standard EN61496-1 and the International Standard IEC 61496-1-2.

The device integrates the start/restart interlock function as well as the EDM (external device monitoring). It has a selectable maximum scanning distance of either 6 or 18 m and the two safety static outputs are protected from short circuits and overloads. It features correct alignment and beam status indicator LEDs for easy installation, along with a 7-segment display for signalling and functional diagnosis.

Available in master/slave and floating blanking models, the light curtain comes with a range of fastening modes. Accessory deflection mirrors can also be provided for perimeter protections along up to four sides.

There can be up to 50 m of cable length between the barriers and the safety relay.

The light curtain is designed for the protection of press brakes, presses, punching and drinking machines, cutters and shears, robotised areas, assembly lines and palletising systems.

The light curtain is available in four versions: 14 and 20 mm resolution for finger detection; 30 and 40 mm resolution for hand detection; 50 and 90 mm resolution for presence detection in a hazardous area; and 90 mm resolution with two, three or four beams for access control.
