Victoria’s OHS prosecutions go live
The Victorian Workcover Authority (VWA) has updated the way in which details of its prosecutions can be accessed.
A database of prosecutions made by the VWA can now be searched online as details of cases will be uploaded as soon as possible after the case is heard.
Printed copies of the Prosecutions handbook covering 2004 and 2005 are also available at www.workcover.vic.gov.au.
The Victorian OHS regulator publishes details of its prosecutions to "help the community understand the consequences of health and safety violations and the need to ensure an efficient and equitable workers compensations scheme".
