Truck driver crushed by falling gate

WorkSafe Victoria is investigating an incident at a Dandenong South depot, which led to the death of a 59-year-old worker on 23 April 2022. It is understood that the man was attempting to close a 12-metre-wide sliding gate when it came free from its tracks and guarding rails and fell onto him.

The death brings the workplace fatality toll to 13 for 2022, six fewer than at the same time last year.
