New tool promotes safety for agriculture industry
Safe Work Australia has released an online tool to help those working in the agriculture industry to understand and meet their duties under the model Work Health and Safety (WHS) laws. The interactive tool can be used to find out how to meet WHS duties as a person conducting a business or undertaking (PCBU) or as a worker in the agriculture industry.
The tool also outlines common WHS hazards, including working in confined spaces, working with hazardous chemicals, outdoor work and working at heights, and information about how to eliminate and manage the risks of agricultural work.
