Construction worker dies after being struck by overhead boom

A worker died at a Victorian construction site on Monday, 17 May after being struck by an overhead boom.

The incident occurred at a St Albans construction site, with it believed that the 40-year-old was working alone operating a concrete pump and boom when the boom collapsed.

The death brought the Victorian workplace fatality toll to 16 for 2021.

WorkSafe Victoria is investigating.
