Leuze AMS 100i laser positioning system

Warehouses and warehouse vehicles are becoming more flexible, more compact and increasingly hybrid, and that places new demands on positioning sensors. The Leuze AMS series of linear laser positioning systems seeks to respond to this with the AMS 100i, a compact, modular positioning system now available with a PROFINET interface.

Designed for positioning tasks of up to 120 m in intralogistics, the AMS 100i suits stacker cranes, automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and lift systems. Measuring just 105 x 68 x 75 mm, it is designed to be the most compact positioning sensor currently on the market with the smallest dead zone (100 mm), making it easy to fit into tight installation spaces.

A model with integrated device and window heating extends the operating range from -30°C for cold-store applications up to +60°C in hot environments. The PROFINET interface allows the AMS 100i to be used in any application based on a Siemens PLC, while an integrated web server is designed to support convenient remote diagnostics and efficient remote maintenance.
