Miller TechLine temporary horizontal life line

Friday, 21 May, 2010 | Supplied by: Honeywell Industrial Safety

The Miller TechLine temporary horizontal life line (HLL) provides safety when working at heights.

Engineered to be used in applications where overhead anchorage is not present, the HLL system includes all the necessary hardware, components and instructions for complete installation.

Able to support up to two workers at a time, TechLine features a 16 mm polyester high-visibility low-stretch lifeline for improved performance and reduced deflection. With high abrasion resistance, the lifeline provides the durability for tough conditions while reducing fall clearance requirements.

The HLL system includes two heavy-duty cross arm straps which secure the lifeline to an anchorage point using a self-locking snaphook, as well as a connecting ‘O’ ring which is used to connect a lanyard or self-retracting lifeline to the HLL for increased worker mobility while working at heights.

In order to reduce fall arrest forces in the event of a fall, the system also includes an inline shock absorber which is designed to limit forces to 11.2 kN, while a zinc-plated line adjuster is used to adjust the length of the rope, indicate proper pre-tension as well as maintain proper tension.

Designed to be quick and easy to install, it is lightweight and portable and comes in a waterproof bucket for easy storage.
