Tuesday, 26 November, 2013 | Supplied by: 3M Fall Protection

The DBI-SALA OzPod Rescue Frame is designed for rescue, access and extrication work over edges, while providing safety for the operator, worker or patient. The rescue frame is a modular total edge management system, providing a rated attachment point for suspension/positioning and as a redirect for fall arrest in several configurations.

It comes complete with three separate coded carry bags for ease of assembly and transportation, and a winch leg mount bracket for the attachment of additional mechanical devices.

Features include: six anchor points in the head to separate working lines; four anchor points in the base to redirect working lines and stabilise the frame; colour-coded anchor points for easy identification; optional foot allows the unit to be converted into a tripod; adjustable legs allow the frame to be levelled over uneven surfaces; feet with rubber grip soles, toe spikes and bolt/peg holes for added stability; built-in luffing arm; and a unique head design that prevents legs from spreading.

The modular multipurpose design allows the unit to be configured and rated for four rescue frames: tripod rated to 15 kN; vertical rated to 15 kN; 600 mm luff rated to 13.5 kN; and 200 mm luff rated to 13.5 kN.

The unit comes complete with rescue frame carry bags and winch leg mount bracket. Made from a lightweight extruded aluminium construction with anodised finish for good corrosion resistance, it also has optional stabilising weights which are sold separately.
