Capital Safety DBI-Sala Repel fall protection range

Monday, 17 May, 2010 | Supplied by: 3M Fall Protection

Capital Safety’s DBI-Sala has launched a range of fall protection products constructed from a specially designed textile called Repel technology webbing, providing a number of advantages over traditional webbing products used for fall protection. The technology in the finish forms a fine textile shell that gives a high level of water resistance, a natural self-cleaning effect and a durable protective function. Water or other substances such as oil or dirt simply run off its surface.

The fall protection range is made up of Delta Repel full body harnesses, Force2 Repel shock absorbing lanyards and Repel pole straps. It is suitable for the water and sewerage, abattoir, electrical utility, mining, oil and gas industries and any environment exposed to harsh, wet or tropical conditions.

The range is claimed to provide durability with up to five times more abrasion resistance than any other full body harness, shock-absorbing lanyard or pole strap. The long-lasting webbing allows the products to stay in service longer in harsh environments, while the water-repelling properties prevent absorption of water, keeping them lightweight and comfortable, for the entire service life of the product.

All of the products are AS/NZS 1891.1:2007 standard compliant.

The i-Safe intelligent safety system using RFID technology is built into each product to track inspections, control inventory and manage information
