NSW Resources Regulator announces compliance priorities

The NSW Resources Regulator has published its Compliance Priorities for January–June 2022, detailing key compliance priorities and proactive assessment programs for the next six months. By publishing this document, the Regulator aims to increase transparency and community and industry confidence in its regulatory activities, and to increase levels of voluntary compliance.

Between January and June 2022, the Regulator aims to complete five compliance priorities, aimed at onboarding training for new workers, ignition of methane, entanglement around conveyors, rehabilitation reforms and a review of the quarries sector to ensure compliance with Mining Act authorisations.
