Phoenix Contact Termitrab surge protection devices
Phoenix Contact Termitrab surge protection devices are designed with measurement and control technology (MCR) and low-voltage applications.
The 3.5 mm device uses components, meaning technicians can build smaller systems to protect analog and digital signals transmitted using MCR, and gain installation space for system planning.
The devices provide high density for system expansion on the Din rail and can protect up to 572 MCR signals per metre.
The 3.5 mm arrester is available as a push-in model, while the 6.2 mm arresters allow technicians to choose from versions with screw or push-in connections, knife disconnections, pluggable arresters and Ex approval.
The 6.2 mm arrester models feature an integrated status indicator that shows when the unit requires replacing.
The indicator on the surge protection device does not require auxiliary power. During the disconnection process, the measuring signal is unaffected.
Technicians can install the remote signalling module to remotely detect overloaded surge protective devices and maintain system integrity. The module can be retrofitted without any programming or additional wiring. It uses a photoelectric barrier to monitor the status of up to 40 adjacent protective devices. A floating contact transmits the status to the control room.
