Extech has released two products designed to simplify data processing of electrical safety testing measurements. The Extech Opt.758 ethernet card and Opt.751 multifunction USB card both slot into the Extech 7742 safety tester which provides dielectric strength, insulation resistance, earth continuity and leakage testing, thus facilitating data exchange and control of testing protocols.

The ethernet card provides additional bar code instruction sets and RS232 porting for direct communication with PCs. The ethernet facility permits integration with industrial bus-controlled manufacturing facilities.

The USB card permits the downloading of test data in the card's internal memory with a capacity for retaining 100,000 step test results in TXT format as well as allowing for bar code reading. The RS232 port facilitates direct control of the 7742 safety tester.
