Vehicle emergency respiration systems

Wednesday, 21 November, 2007 | Supplied by: Life & Rescue International

The Mine Vehicle Breathing Air (MVBA) systems are designed and installed in vehicle cabins where entrapment or irrespirable atmospheres are a potential hazard.

The systems were first supplied and fitted in 1990 by LRI onto dozers at refuse tips to break up garbage pile fires and assist extinguishment.

The system provides protection by supplying hygienic breathing air on demand to the operator for durations based on the assessed risk and rescue times. The MVBA systems can be custom designed to suit your vehicle needs.
