The GasFindIR LW camera is capable of imaging 'fugitive' greenhouse gases such as SF6 and NH3. The camera's rapid scanning capabilities provide real-time thermal images of gas leaks.
The camera features six user-selectable integration modes. Normal Scene, Cold Scene and Hot Scene can be selected at 50 or 25 Hz, allowing the user to change frame acquisition rates for better image performance in hot and cold environments to help find small leaks.
The camera also incorporates a cooled QWIP (quantum well infrared photon) detector and optical systems that are tuned to a narrow spectral infrared waveband specific to SF6 detection.
The High Sensitivity mode provides a five-fold increase in image clarity over the standard mode, helping users to determine small leaks quickly.
The camera's controls are easily accessible and a built-in menu system gives users access to in-camera software tools for additional functions.
A 50 mm wide-angle lens is standard, with a 100 mm lens available for long-range purposes. The camera can help improve productivity by enabling wide-angle scans of circuit breakers and gas-insulated switchgear.
The camera has a 4 h battery life, but can also be connected to AC power for round-the-clock use or to 12 V power for vehicle-based inspections.
Images are recordable to any off-the-shelf video recorder for easy documentation.
