Simtronics GD1 C02 open path toxic gas detector

Tuesday, 28 September, 2010 | Supplied by: Prodetec Pty Ltd

The Simtronics GD1 C02 open path toxic gas detector, with laser-based line of sight, can be used for the detection of carbon dioxide (CO2) toxic gases.

Using a tuneable laser diode, it can be used onshore or offshore and is suitable for the detection of the CO2 in carbon capture and storage (CCS) applications as well as where CO2 is used for enhanced oil recovery (EOR).

The tuneable laser diode eliminates environmental effects from sun, rain and fog. The laser scans single absorption lines where there is no interference from other gases.

It is IECEX and ATEX compliant and suitable for use in systems with SIL2 requirements.
