Anri Instruments & Controls CO2 Cellarwarn gas monitor

Wednesday, 30 June, 2010 | Supplied by: Anri Instruments & Controls Pty Ltd

The CO2 Cellarwarn gas monitor is suitable to detect carbon dioxide in ambient air to safeguard workers in confined spaces.

Odourless and colourless, high carbon dioxide levels cause health problems from headache and fatigue to fatal asphyxiation. To ensure a safe cellar, all non-naturally ventilated areas must be monitored to prevent illness occurring, in accordance with AS 5034.

The monitor provides a clear indication of ambient CO2 concentration and temperature using non-dispersive infrared technology to detect ambient CO2 concentration to 50,000 ppm.

Up to three remote units can be linked to the sensor unit, all of which comprise alarms and LCDs to alert workers, providing visible and audible alarms within the storage area and sentries at up to three entry points. Alarms occur when CO2 levels reach 1.5% and 3% (AS 5034 compliant) and automatically activate a relay which could be used to control a ventilation fan.

The low-maintenance monitor is suitable for breweries, cellars, cool rooms, beverage dispensing areas, hotels, fast-food outlets and other CO2 storage areas.
