Sullair Australia, a manufacturer of air compressors, has announced it has achieved 10 years without having a lost time injury.

Fred Funnell, the managing director of Sullair Australia, said it was a significant safety milestone in any company’s history and he congratulated everyone who has worked for the company over the past 10 years and made this possible.

“We’ve been able to achieve this safety record for several reasons,” said Funnell. “The implementation of the refreshed hazard and near-miss reporting program this year has been a success, resulting in the identification and removal of a significant number of hazards. This effort has also empowered staff at all levels to intervene and improved the quality of our safety discussions.

“Fostering a work environment where we all care about one another’s safety and wellbeing makes these conversations easier - and it benefits the business.”
