NSW Trade & Investment has announced that the comment period ends soon on managing roads in underground coal mines.
Draft MDG 1009 Managing road and vehicle operating areas in underground coal mines is available for comment on the NSW Mine Safety website.
The updated document provides guidance on the design, operation and maintenance of roads and vehicle operating areas in order to minimise the risk to a person’s health and safety so they are safe in so far as is reasonably practicable to satisfy work health and safety legislation requirements.
The draft MDG can be accessed on the NSW Mine Safety website and there is a public comment feedback form at the bottom of the list.
Public comment closes on 27 June 2014.
