Investigations underway following two work-related deaths
WorkSafe WA is investigating work-related deaths in two separate incidents that occurred on 23 July 2024.
A male worker suffered fatal injuries while collecting a skip bin from the front yard of a residential premises in Donnybrook. Investigators from WorkSafe WA attended and conducted an examination of the scene.
In a separate incident, a worker was believed to have been electrocuted while conducting tree lopping work near overhead high-voltage lines. Investigators from WorkSafe and Building and Energy examined the circumstances of incidents to ensure compliance and prevent future incidents of a similar nature.
WorkSafe Commissioner Sally North and Director of Energy Safety Saj Abdoolakhan have expressed their condolences to the workers’ families, friends and workmates.
