Investigations continuing after fatality at Truro Quarry
On 21 April a male worker at Truro Quarry was fatally injured, SafeWork South Australia (SafeWork SA) has advised. “SafeWork SA offers condolences to his family, friends and colleagues at this distressing and sad time,” the regulator said.
On 27 April, SafeWork SA provided an update on the incident, and stated that investigations are continuing and the regulator is working closely with SA Police and the state’s Department of Energy and Mining.
The fatality brings the number of confirmed work-related deaths recorded in SA in 2020 to one.
