Vic construction worker crushed in boom lift incident
WorkSafe Victoria is investigating the death of a man working alone at a construction site in Truganina. The man died following an incident involving a boom lift. It is understood the 31-year-old was operating the elevated work platform about 5 pm on 4 January 2023 when he was crushed between the machine and a roof purlin.
The deceased was found by colleagues the following morning. The death is the first workplace fatality of 2023.
