The Sabre ELSA Muster is an open circuit, positive pressure escape breathing apparatus that provides air on demand. It is designed for use by safety professionals in situations where the escape route may require high physical exertion or where the maximum levels of protection are required. A variety of couplings for a wide range of airline systems are available to enable connection to plant air for extended durations. The ELSA Muster is specifically designed to suit the needs and requirements of oil and gas offshore conditions.

Automatic activation and ancillary air-in ensures the wearer will have instantaneous access to clean, breathable air when required. The apparatus is available in both 10 and 15 minute options ensuring a maximum level of respiratory protection.

The apparatus comprises a compressed air cylinder and high-pressure reducing valve, supply hose to air hood and stowage bag. Peak flow performance is in excess of 500 litres/minute. The pressure reducer will accept inlet pressures of 300 bar, however the 10 and 15 minute sets use 200 bar cylinders.

The three-sided flat visor built into the hood design provides high levels of comfort and excellent peripheral vision for the wearer, helping to alleviate feelings of restriction associated with existing hood designs. It is supplied with either a Panaseal positive pressure facemask or with a positive pressure hood.

An anti-static and flame-retardant bag is made from PVC coated nylon. The bag allows for quick donning and is safe to wear in dangerous environments.

Like many of Sabre's products, the ELSA Muster is easy to maintain and has low life costs.
