The Sabre ELSA provides breathable air and is designed to aid escape from hazardous atmospheres such as fires or asphyxiating fumes which could arise in industrial and chemical plants, mines or oil and gas installations.

It comprises a compressed air cylinder and pressure reducing valve, supply hose to air hood and stowage bag. The air supply is automatically activated upon opening the bag. The product is available in either 10 or 15 minute durations.

The air hood uses a unique cubical design for optimum comfort and visibility. The three-sided flat visor provides peripheral vision; with the shape helping to alleviate the feelings of restriction associated with existing hood designs. The hood can be flat-packed for stowage without creasing the visor. An inner mask prevents visor misting and minimises CO2 dead space.

The Sabre ELSA also features a duration whistle which is activated when the air is depleted, letting the user know that the CO2 level within the hood exceeds the performance specification.

The specially-designed bag is made from either a high visibility PVC coated material or an anti-static black polyurethane material. The transparent window allows for inspection of the cylinder contents gauge and activation pin, without opening the bag.
