How being safe could win you $5000

Tuesday, 26 September, 2017

Safe Work Australia is giving businesses the opportunity to win $5000 for their safety initiatives.

To enter, an organisation simply needs to describe a safety initiative it has implemented for National Safe Work Month that has made the workplace safer and healthier.

Participants should explain how well their initiative:

  • shares safety knowledge throughout the workplace;
  • empowers staff at all levels to make good safety choices; and
  • demonstrates a long-term approach to good work health and safety.

The $5000 prize will go towards:

  • registration fees for one work health and safety conference, expo or event, held in Australia in 2018;
  • return economy airfares from the winner’s nearest port; and
  • accommodation and ground transfers.

For more information about the campaign kit, tips on creating an excellent entry, previous winners and the terms and conditions, visit the Safe Work Australia website.
