Training Young Road Users to be Safe Road Users

Reduce the risks. Allow bigger safety margins. It takes years of practice to get to a point where you can react instantly and correctly to a sudden, serious mistake — the way experienced drivers do. Opinions differ on what’s correct when it comes to driving habits. Hence, the motive behind Pro-Visual Publishing collaborating with Keys to Drive, Australian Driver Trainers Association (ADTA), Drive Network and Ride to Live releasing the annual National Guide to Road Safety is to highlight the key driver safety issues, whilst providing more information on how to drive safely to avoid accidents.

With the aim of endorsing safe driving and riding skills for beginners on the road, this year’s Guide includes topics such as:

  • Safety options for motorcyclists
  • How to reduce risks — drive a safe car and recognise risky conditions
  • Before going for your Ls and Ps
  • Tyre safety
  • Good driving habits

Operating Augmented Reality (AR) technology on the National Guide to Road Safety for the third year, Pro-Visual Publishing hopes to provide a platform for interactivity with young road users to raise the awareness and importance of driving and riding safely. Utilising the Guide in driver training programs will help students engage and retain critical information in order to become safe and responsible drivers on our Australian Roads.

“I would like to thank all the sponsors of the National Guide to Road Safety 2017/18. Their support has made it possible for the Guide to be distributed free of charge.” — John Hutchings, CEO, Pro-Visual Publishing.
