Prioritising Safety in the HVAC & R Industry

Workers in the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Industry are exposed to a number of risks on a daily basis. Therefore, being proactive about safety and understanding WHS obligations is essential to maintain health and safety – so that workers can return home the same way they left it, without injury.

Pro-Visual Publishing, in partnership with the Air Conditioning and Mechanical Contractors’ Association of Australia (AMCA), has released the latest edition of the HVAC & R Industry Guide to Workplace Safety, with interactive Augmented Reality (AR) capabilities. This essential resource covers a range of topics, including:

  • Planning, developing and implementing a Safety Management System (SMS).
  • Handling refrigerants and leaks.
  • Hazards associated with working at heights.
  • Airborne hazards from HVAC&R systems.
  • Labelling the contents of pipes, conduits and ducts.

The Augmented Reality (AR) components of the guide also provide a window to further resources and information, which users can access by simply scanning over any AR capable content using the free Pro-Vis AR app.

“I would like to thank all the sponsors of the HVAC & R Industry Guide to Workplace Safety 2017/18. Their support has made it possible for the Guide to be distributed free of charge.”
