Commit to creating a safer work environment

It is everyone’s responsibility to ensure that their workers return home the same way they left it, without injury. Workers in mining operations are subject to a range of potential hazards of which proper education, training and planning are needed to ensure a safer work environment for all.

Pro-Visual Publishing, in partnership with the Australian Mines and Metals Association and the Minerals Industry Safety and Health Centre, has released the 2017/18 edition of the Mining Industry Guide to Workplace Safety, which covers a range of topics relevant to the mining industry.

Topics include:

  • Work Health and Safety Management Systems (WHSMS) in Mining.
  • Health Monitoring.
  • Management of alcohol and drugs.
  • Roads and other vehicle operating areas.

Along with these topics, the safety guide also features interactive Augmented Reality (AR) capabilities. Simply scanning over any AR capable content using the free Pro-Vis AR App will allow users to instantly download WHS information to their smart device that is essential to the mining sector.

“I would like to thank all the sponsors of the Mining Industry Guide to Workplace Safety 2017/18. Their support has made it possible for the Guide to be distributed free of charge.” – John Hutchings, CEO, Pro-Visual Publishing.
