Lead auditor in OHS management systems

This five-day advanced course is designed to provide concentrated and comprehensive training in the theory and practice of auditing an OHS management system. Combining hands-on case studies with supporting theory on due diligence and relevant legislation, the information covers the audit process and examines current OHS specifications and guidelines from an audit perspective. The course will benefit OHS practitioners, consultants or managers who are involved in auditing OHS management systems. A working knowledge of AS/NZS 4801:2001 is required. On successful completion, participants will receive a statement of attainment for: BSBAUD501A Initiate a quality audit; BSBAUD502A Prepare a quality audit; BSBAUD503A Lead a quality audit; and BSBAUD504A Report on a quality audit. These four units contribute to the Diploma of Business (Quality Auditing) BSB51904. Participants will also be issued with a certificate of attainment for: RABQSA–AU - Management systems auditing; RABQSA–TL - Leading management system audit teams; and RABQSA–OH - Auditing OHS management systems.

Auditing OHS management systems

Consisting of the first two days of the Lead Auditor in OHS Management Systems course, this abridged version allows current leading auditors from other fields to specialise in the OHS management system, without having to do the full five-day lead auditor course. This course is certified under the RABQSA International Training Provider Examination Certification Scheme for OHS management system auditors. The course will suit those responsible for auditing, implementing, maintaining or monitoring an OHS management system, those wishing to expand on existing lead auditor qualifications and those responsible for auditing integrated management systems. On successful completion of this course, participants will receive a certificate of attainment for: RABQSA–OH - Auditing OHS management systems.

Personal Injury Management Conference and Awards

The Personal Injury Education Foundation, a group of Australian and New Zealand compensation regulators, insurers and claims management organisations, has launched its inaugural Personal Injury Management Conference and Excellence Awards.

International experts from compensation schemes across Australia, New Zealand and the US will present on a range of topics, including return to work, industry capability, medical management, scheme comparisons and service delivery to injured workers and motorists.

The conference is targeted at those who:

  • work in a case/claims management role in the workers compensation or motor accident compensation industry;
  • work in a policy development or implementation role in the accident compensation industry; or
  • provide services to those impacted by personal injury, such as human resources staff, rehabilitation providers, lawyers, medical and allied health professionals, and safety managers.
